Markets erase gains; Pharma, Banking stocks slip

Equity benchmark indices have erased early morning gains and are trading marginally higher. TCS, Reliance, IndusInd Bank and M&M are among top losers on the Sensex pack, while gains are seen in Infosys, ICICI Bank and HUL

The Nifty Pharma index slipped led by Aurobindo Pharma, Glenmark, Sun Pharma and Cipla. Also, the PSU Banking index is down as selling was seen in Oriental Bank, Bank of India and Union Bank.




The Sensex was up 47 points at 37,927 and the Nifty50 index was up 20 points at 11,255. The S&P BSE Mid-Cap index and BSE Small-Cap index was up 0.10% each.

The market breadth was negative, on the BSE 917 shares rose, 1,008 shares fell and a total of 139 shares were unchanged.
