Biocon Ltd., an innovation-led global biopharmaceuticals company, announced that Siddharth Mittal has taken over as Chief Executive Officer & Joint Managing Director of the Company starting December 1, 2019.
Mr. Mittal has been serving as Biocon's Chief Financial Officer {CFO) since August 2014.
Welcoming Mr. Mittal, Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, CMD, Biocon, said, "I am very pleased to welcome Siddharth as CEO & Joint MD of Biocon. Biocon Ltd is currently trading at Rs289.75 up by Rs3.8 or 1.33% from its previous closing of Rs285.95 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs299.70 and has touched a high and low of Rs299.70 and Rs288.20 respectively. So far 84,83,884 (NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs34,314cr.
