Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has signed the contract with Ministry of Defence, Govt, of India for procurement of Seven Squadrons of Akash Missile System for Indian Air Force.
This is a turnkey contract with specialist infrastructure. The total value of the contract is Rs5,357cr and the delivery will be completed in three years.
These systems will be commissioned at seven Air Force locations spread across Pan India, it added.
Bharat Electronics Ltd ended at Rs108.50, up by Rs0.5 or 0.46% from its previous closing of Rs108 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs108.15 and has touched a high and low of Rs109.40 and Rs105.50 respectively.
