PM Narendra Modi asserted that a “new India” is rising in “what many have termed the Asian century,” while speaking at the third annual meeting of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) in Mumbai on Tuesday. He claimed that this India “stands on the pillars of economic opportunity for all, knowledge economy, holistic development, and futuristic, resilient, and digital infrastructure.”
In his address, the PM highlighted the various schemes that his government has undertaken with respect to connectivity, infrastructure, health, agriculture, etc., to boost development in the country.
Apart from this, he specified that India is one of the most investor-friendly countries in the world. As a growing economy with macroeconomic and political stability, large domestic market size, skilled labor, and good physical infrastructure, the country is an attractive destination for investors, he claimed.
